Lacinato Kale
(Black cabbage; Cavolo nero) Large, dark green, serrated leaves growing to a height of 60cm/2’, are useful for culinary purposes as well as ornamental. Very winter hardy. Freezing temperatures tenderize it bringing out its full flavour. Wonderful raw, in soups, stews, steamed or stir-fried, especially blended with fresh, chopped chives and coriander! 100 days.
Dwarf Blue Curled Scotch Kale - Certified Organic
(50 - 65 days). Slow to bolt, and extremely hardy, this kale tastes best after frost. Grows only 12" tall, with finely curled blue-green leaves. It will over-winter in Zones 4-5 if mulched. Very attractive.
